Sumter County is proud to be a part of the Vote in Honor of a Vet program. This program was established to encourage voters, including our 18+ year old voters, to cast their ballot in recognition of the countless sacrifices Sumter County Veterans have made by fighting and dying for our country's freedom. So often our freedom is taken for granted, but by exercising our right to vote we are showing our veterans the respect they deserve for defending our nation.

If you are a veteran, or family member of a veteran, we encourage you to participate in this program by submitting a veteran biography form. Forms can be submitted online, via email, mailed to our office or dropped off in person. If possible, please include a photo (preferably in uniform) of your veteran. We ask that you do not mail in original photos, but we would be glad to scan them for you if you would like to drop by our office. All individuals that are connected to Sumter County who ever served our country whether in peacetime or wartime, past or present, will be included on our wall of honor.
